Irena Nedelcheva is born in 1961 in Ruse, Bulgaria. She has graduated The National School of Folk Arts “Philip Kutev” – Kotel, as well as the University in Town of Shumen, Bulgaria majoring in music pedagogy and methodology of teaching folk singing.
She was working many years as an artist/singer at the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts – Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Over the years she was involved in audio and video projects of Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Radio. She teaches folk singing in Bulgaria as a private teacher as well as in The National School of Folk Arts “Philip Kutev” – Kotel.
As a musician Irena travels all around Bulgaria and she has participated at numerous International Folk Festivals in Switzerland, Poland, Germany and three consecutive years was special guest at the International Festival in Finland.
